Menu Layout Item – PageCells Responsive Framework
The Menu Layout Item enables a Menu Location that is then available under Appearance > Menus in the WordPress admin. It can be assigned to a specific Nav Menu or can automatically generate a Page Menu of all the pages in your site. Like the other Layout Items, Menus appear as blue dashed boxes on the Theme Options page.
From the Layout Items panel on the top right of the Theme Options page, drag the Menu Icon over to the Row, Container or Loop Drop Zone where you want it to appear.
Once a Menu is added, you can drag the Menu to change its position on the Theme Options page. Menus can be dragged across Rows or simply repositioned in the same Row.
Click the red Trash Can Icon on the right side of the Menu to delete it. An alert will appear to confirm that is really what you want to do.
Click the blue Wrench Icon next to the Loop Name to open the Loop Options panel.
You can reuse the options from another Menu Layout Item by selecting it from the Copy menu. This Menu will appear with the selected Menu’s name and “(copy)” in its label on the Theme Options page.
The Menu name is used to identify the Menu on the Theme Options page. It is also used to identify the Menu Location under Appearance > Menus in the WordPress admin.
PageCells has three helper classes that are used to control Menu behavior. Enter one of these class names in the Menu Classes input box to enable different kinds of menus.
With this option, the menu is rendered with the top-level pages horizontally and each subsequent level of the menu hierarchy as a hover menu.
With this option, every item in the menu is rendered in a single line with vertical separators.
With this option, each level of the menu hierarchy is rendered as a horizontal row under the previous level.
Default to Page Menu
This option tells PageCells to automatically generate a Page Menu from the existing pages when there is not a specific Nav Menu assigned to its location. Nav Menus are assigned under Appearance > Menus in the WordPress admin.
Click the green Paintbrush Icon next to the Menu Name to open the Menu CSS panel. Menus use same the Fluid Cell System classes as other Layout Items.
Menu behavior is further controlled by the Menu Classes option described above.
